TEDX TALK PORFOLIO

Welcome to my blog, in this porfolio I will be talking about the tasks that we have carried out during the second term of this course in the subject of English. 

This project was about making a talk, imitating the famous Tedx Talk. It’s about mythology, in my case, about Cupid and love, and the final product is the video of the presentation of our talk at the theater.

In this project we worked on the conditionals and passive sentences, the irregular verbs and remembering the verb tense. 

First, we watched a video in which the speaker taught us how you sound smart in a Tedx Talk. Later we read a document about how to make a good Tedx Talk, after that, we created an infographic in groups.

Secondly, we wrote a talk about our topic, including concepts from different subjects: Latin, History, Spanish, Philosophy, etc.

The topic I chose was love because the talk had to be based on mythology and the god I chose was Cupid, but I wanted to give it a feminist and current point of view related to love with physics, health, history, etc.

 In general, the script was better than I expected and I ended up very happy with the final result.

Thirdly, in the English subject we saw tricks to be able to develop a Ted talk.  It was quite useful since at the time of the presentation I put several of the tricks that we saw during the pre-recording classes into practice, such as not moving a lot, speaking more slowly or not reading too much.

Fourthly, the hardest part for me was starting the script because they didn't know how to relate love to history, philosophy, etc.  but nevertheless, when I deepened the subject it was easier for me.

However, what I didn’t like was the planning of the tasks and the coordination and communication of the teachers. But I feel like I've done a good job and tried to do my best.  I plan to apply most of the tips, as they are very useful and practical for day to day.

In conclusion, I really liked the project, because in the end the result has been something of quality and of which we should be proud.
